prison ministry

There are a little over 2000 prisoners in the Khon Kaen Provincial prison. Of these prisoners, about 200 are female, the rest are male. In February, 2007, a group of volunteers from Texas were able to enter the prison with local church leaders in Khon Kaen to share the gospel with separate groups of male and female prisoners. The prisoners were very responsive to the gospel, and since that time a local missionary has been able to continue ministering there weekly.

Please pray: 1) that the head of the prison will continue to give permission for ongoing visits by national Christians and missionaries; 2) that more prisoners will come to know Christ and follow Him; and 3) that as Christ changes their lives, they will become strong witnesses for Him with their families, friends, and other prisoners.
